Whitney Houston remembered, Rhianna and Brown get back together?

Hello guys and dolls. Its time. Get your cups out because I am serving some hot tea.

Whitney Houston’s funeral inspired folks all over the world to tune into church on a Saturday.

The funeral was held at New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, NJ which was the church Whitney grew up in.

The funeral, as one speaker said, “had more stars than the Grammys”. Stars such as Mariah Carey, Oprah, Brandy, Monica and many more showed up to pay their respect to Whitney.

Tyler Perry, Kevin Costner, BeBe Winans and the Eulogist Bishop Marvin Winans gave riveting speeches about the fallen star. Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder, The Winans, Kim Burrell, Donnie McClurkin, and R. Kelly performed songs dedicated to Whitney.

Aretha Franklin was supposed to sing but was said to be suffering from leg spasms. However, the singer performed at her sold out concert in New York Saturday night.

Now Aretha, you could have pulled a Maya Angelou and just sat down.

Bobby Brown caused a little stir by leaving the funeral early. He released a statement shortly after the funeral.

“My children and I were invited to the funeral of my ex-wife Whitney Houston. We were seated by security and then subsequently asked to move on three separate occasions. I fail to understand why security treated my family this way and continue to ask us and no one else to move,” Brown said.

Well the Houston’s family lawyer has come to set the record straight.

Lawyer Mark G. Trigg called into “The Frank and Wanda Show” on V-103 in Atlanta to give the on-air personality the true tea.

According to Triggs, Brown was supposed to sit in the first three rows with Houston’s family and not his children, who were not by Whitney. Brown’s children were told that they must sit close to the back with their uncle.

“Security “discretely” asked the children to sit with their uncle,” Trigg told Frank and Wanda.

That’s not all. It seems Bobbi Kris didn’t even want her Dad to talk to her.

Trigg said Brown also had agreed not to try to speak with Bobbi Kris unless she initiated contact first. Well Bobby tried anyway and security stepped in hopes that Bobbi Kris would intervene on the Brown’s family behalf.

The funeral went off without a glitch. It was about Whitney and it remained that way.

Chris Brown and Rihanna sent twitter into frenzy Monday with the releases of two remixes featuring both artists.

On her birthday Rihanna released the full length remix to her song “Cake” featuring Brown.

In all seriousness the song basically is about them reminiscing and missing their bump and grind sessions.

Don’t believe me? Here is lyrical proof: Breezy sings, “Girl, I wanna f— you right now. Been a long time, I’ve been missing your body.”

Then Rih Rih raps back “Remember how you did it? Remember how you fit it?”

Breezy released a remix of his new song “Turn up the music” featuring Rih Rih. The song is pretty PG.

I wonder how Breezy’s girlfriend Kamikaze feels about this.

Oh, her name is Karrueche; well this proves how irrelevant she is because I forgot Breezy had a girlfriend.
Basketball Associates, (because no one is a wife) returned with all of the craziness and foolery that we as viewers have come to enjoy.

We are introduced to two new girls: Keisha Nichols and Kenya Bell.

Suzie and Royce resolve their issues and Tami is the man in the middle. Ochocinco’s forever fiancĂ©e and former BFF Jennifer are no longer friends.

Well let’s buckle up and enjoy this season that is sure to be filled with enough foolishness to last us a lifetime.

Time to wash out your cups! As always, come on back ya hear? Because I will be serving tea that is guaranteed to be hot!

54th Grammys honor Whitney Houston

Hello guys and dolls. It’s time. Get your cups out because I am serving some hot tea.

Grammys weekend is supposed to be a big celebration of music, but a sense of mourning stained the festivities with the shocking death of music icon Whitney Houston.

Whitney was found underwater in her tub Saturday at the famed Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Ca.
Now, before we get all in our emotions, let’s talk about the Grammys.

The Grammys set us all up for the old rating okey dokey, making us wait until the last 30 minutes of the show to see the Whitney Houston’s tribute that was done nicely by Jennifer “Sun in the Sky” Hudson.

Like others, my only reason for watching the Grammys was for the tribute and to watch Adele slay the competition.

Adele won all six categories she was nominated for including “album of the year.”

She performed for the first time since her vocal surgery. Although a little nervous, she had the best performance of the night.

Chris Brown had girls on Twitter wanting to give him the honor of [abusing] him anytime they want.
Really? Seeing him dance on boxes, not even bothering to lip synch, and all this while wearing tight jeans is enough to make you feel uncomfortable that you would allow him to “Ike Turner” you?

I am really concerned with this generation.

While we are on Ike Turner, who told Rihanna that her Anna Mae Bullock (Tina Turner) hair is a good look for her? But I digress.

She actually had one of her best award show performances that night. She actually moved and did not look stiffer than a card board box.

Though, she did lose me when she did her duet with Coldplay.

Katy Perry performed her “forget you Russell Brand” song resembling a cross between a smurfette and a superhero.

Nicki Minaj had people around the world wondering if they should pray or throw holy water at their television.

Nicki walked the red carpet with a man dressed as the pope.

If that wasn’t crazy enough, she performed an exorcism while performing her new song, “Roman Holiday”.

I don’t know what was worse; her failed attempt of creating a performance that would be as controversial and entertaining as Lady Gaga or the extremely horrible song that she performed.

It should be noted that her creative director is former Lady Gaga creative director, Laurie Ann Gibson.

Now, everybody is speculating on what happened to Whitney Houston.

She was captured leaving Kelly Price’s event Thursday with what appeared to be blood running down her leg.

People are now saying that it was wine.

Now at that same event, Houston had a little altercation with X-Factor contestant Stacy Francis over Ray J.

The situation was diffused because Ray J. told Houston that Stacy was family.

Houston jumped on stage and sung “Jesus Loves Me” to Kelly Price.

Friday, Houston stopped by singers Brandy and Monica’s rehearsal for Clive Davis’s annual pre-Grammy party.

Houston handed Brandy a note which she has declined to give details about.

Sources say she and some friends partied heavily Friday night at the hotel. Houston was said to be especially loud and boisterous by people at the hotel.

Houston’s mother, Cissy Houston, and her cousin, Dionne Warrick, said Houston seemed fine before her death. Houston spoke with her daughter 25-30 minutes before she died.

Music legend, in her own right, Chaka Kahn is upset with Clive Davis for still having his pre-Grammy party at the Beverly Hilton while Houston’s body was still in the hotel.

Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, is under the watchful eye of family members after having a panic attack and being rushed to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.

Houston’s funeral will be Saturday at New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, N.J. where she sang in the choir.

The funeral is invite only.

Houston is a legend no matter how she lived or how she died. Let’s remember her for the music and not her demons.

Time to wash out the cups! As always, come on back, you hear because I will be serving tea that is guaranteed to be hot!

A Twittery Tea Party

Hello guys and dolls, pull out your cups because I am serving some tea!

Madonna wanted all the young girls to know that she was the queen during her Super Bowl Halftime show. Although she couldn’t move like she used to, Madge showed us why ,to some, she is the Queen of Pop.

The Award for Unnecessary use of the middle finger goes to rapper M.I.A. The UK rapper flipped the finger in the middle of her performance with Madonna and Nicki Minaj.

As for Nicki, I would like to know the purpose of lip synching while you rap.

Gisele Bundchen came to the rescue to her equally attractive husband Tom Brady after his Super Bowl loss. After being heckled by Giant fans, Bundchen turned to her friends and said” My husband cannot f––ing throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time.” She also talked about Brady’s receivers. “I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times,” she said.
Rihanna is at it again. In another display of the freaky world of Rihanna, she tweeted Evelyn Lozada asking her if Ochocinco would mind sharing her. Evelyn replied back “ three is a crowd #KicksOchotothecurb.”

Speaking of Ocho, he is tired of the name and is going back to Chad Johnson. In his own words Chile, please.

So Kim “72 days strong” Kardashian has a new friend in Leann Rimes. The two women have bounded over of all things bible study. Hallelujah, I guess!

Rumors are swirling around Grammy rehearsal saying Rihanna and Chris Brown have been spending time in Chris’s dressing room.

The Grammys are highly anticipated for a lot of fans because Adele will perform for the first time since her vocal cord surgery. I don’t know about you guys but I am stoked.

Mark your calendars for Feb. 12 for the Grammys with L.L. Cool J hosting.

NeNe Leakes has been playing NeNe Leakes the swim coach on Glee. I have to be honest she was actually good as Roz Washington. Her battle with Sue Sylvester was epic.

The Reunion that we could have done without came on this Monday. Love and Hip Hop could have kept that episode recap they did. The only things I took away from it was Chrissy still hates Yandy, Kimbella has got cheated, Somaya is over it and Olivia is the little engine that never will.

Katy Perry and Russell brand have reached a divorce agreement.

Rumor has that Katy Perry has a crush on Tim “Stay prayed up” Tebow.

Beyonce finally came out during Jay-Z’s show at Carnegie Hall serving the masses with mommy curves.

When will we finally see Blue Ivy?

Speaking of Blue, you know you are everything when your parents have to trademark your name because someone else is trying to. Fashion Designer Joseph Mbeh was hoping to trademark the name for his children clothes.

X-Factor is looking for new judges and a host. Simon Cowell has fired Nicole Scherzinger, Paula Abdul and host Steve Jones. Judges on Cowell’s wish list are Madonna, Beyonce, and Katy Perry.

Time to wash out the cups! As always come on back because I will be serving tea that is guaranteed to be steaming!
